In April 2020 RCSB PDB will be releasing many updated and revised features on the rcsb.org website, including significant changes to MyPDB. You will continue to receive existing email notifications for a period of approximately 6 months after the release date. However, you will no longer be able to log in to your existing account to add new queries or modify existing queries.
Further more, your existing account, including any saved queries, will not be carried over in to the new system. The new Search and Data Exploration architecture uses a completely new backend database and search query language (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and a JSON Search API), and the existing MyPDB queries, which use an XML format, are not compatible with that architecture.
We encourage you to make use of the new system when it is released, and to take advantage of the many new and improved features for searching that have been introduced.
The new MyPDB system will use third-party authentication, via Google, Facebook, or ORCID. You will no longer need to supply a password to make use of the new service. However you will need to recreate your existing queries using the new system in order to continue to receive weekly notifications of newly released structures matching your search criteria.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the upcoming changes to MyPDB, please use the "Contact Us" button on the right hand side of the screen to submit your question.
